Do I have to fill out a W 9 form or what? Does that form even apply to me?? Looks like anyone who’s not an employee but who still works for a company — in other words, a freelancer or independent contractor — will need to fill one out. But what about if you’re working under the tables? Well, duh!
It’s good living off the grid — that is, the government radar! But what are the long-term consequences of working under the table, of being paid under the table? Okay, no social security — but does anyone truly expect that to matter?
